Steven is a Council Member of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM). He is also the Chairman of FMM Energy Management Committee as well as the Chairman of FMM Negeri Sembilan Branch. He also serves as a board member of the FMM Institute.

He received his MBA from University of Southern Cross, Australia in 2002 and Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) in 1988. 

Steven is currently the Managing Director of Smane Malaysia, a Malaysian-Thai JV company which main business is supplying specialized plastic sheets and conductive compounds for the electronic, semiconductor and hard disk drive industries in the region. His previous experiences included positions as Global Operations Director at BF Goodrich Malaysia and Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific at LNP Engineering Plastics, Malaysia.

Currently attached to a Malaysian-Thai JV company. Responsible for P&L, Sales & marketing, budgetary, customer support and operations of the manufacturing plants.  Main business is in supplying specialized sheet for the electronic, semiconductor and hard disk drive industries in the region.

 

Global Operations Director, Static Control Business Unit, BF Goodrich Malaysia  

Total accountability for the business in Asia with a turnover of RM 70 million and staff of 50 people providing static control solutions for the electronic industry.

Oversaw Global Manufacturing – plants in USA and Malaysia, Sales & Marketing Asia Pacific, Finance, Technical Service, Global Customer Service, Technical Support Team and Quality department.

Oversaw the smooth start up of BF Goodrich’s (BFG) first green field site from construction to the first commercial production in Asia Pacific and hiring all the key staff for the operation as well as the Customer & Technical Support team.

Activities included sales, market development for the whole ICI plastics range. Managed the sales budget, liaised with overseas principals.
