Mr. Berkoff has a long history and a wealth of global experience in the technology industry, having held CEO/CMO/CRO/CSO roles in companies large and small. He had key marketing (CMO) positions at several leading technology companies globally, especially those in display, solar, and electronic materials and related supply chains. Bruce is currently the Chairman of the LCD TV Association, an Advisor/Mentor at SkyDeck at UC Berkeley, and a frequent advisor to various startups and larger companies.

Bruce boasts an extensive background and considerable international expertise in the technology sector, serving in executive positions such as CEO, CMO, CRO, and CSO across a diverse range of companies. He has occupied pivotal marketing roles (CMO) within numerous top-tier technology firms worldwide, with a special focus on display, solar, and electronic materials, as well as their associated supply chains.
He is currently the Chairman of the LCD TV Association, an Advisor/Mentor at SkyDeck at UC Berkeley, and a frequent advisor to various startups and larger companies.
Bruce also is the acting CMO for Lightsense (a leader in miniaturized UV/IR/EPS spectrometers). He was also VP of Product at InFocus, and CMO at CBRITE, a leader in metal oxide technology for FPDs.
Previously, Bruce was the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and strategy officer, of the Energy and Display Systems group at Applied Materials (the world’s factory equipment leader in display, solar, and semiconductors), involved with their display, solar, LED, OLED and battery products (including PECVD, PVD, and MOCVD).
Prior to that, he was CMO of Ascent Solar as well as a BOD member of LG Display (LGD) and the CMO/EVP at LG Philips LCD (aka LGD, LG Display and later on BoD) in Seoul Korea for over 6 years.
He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in physics and biophysics from Princeton and the University of California, Berkeley, respectively, plus display-related patents both granted and pending in the U.S. and China.
Bruce has sat on the boards of at least five publicly traded companies, including LG Display (LPL), InFocus (INFS), and UniPixel (UNXL), and many private ones like Nanosys, VueReal, Mattrix Tech, Lightsense, etc.
